Hey there, Interwebs. This week, Darling Dork is bringing a special, jam packed Friday edition of the Weekly Beat Down conveniently to your computer screen. To receive this most glorious of gifts, all you have to do is continue reading. Isn’t that neat?
So, what can we expect to happen on the final WWE show before Survivor Series, based upon its official five point preview?
Tonight, just days before the tag match pitting the beard and the best against the Wyatt Family, Bryan will go one on one with Luke Harper. We got a brief taste of what to expect during RAW’s main event on Monday.
So, what can we expect to happen tonight? Well, Bryan will put put on a great show against the much bigger opponent, Bray and Rowan will try and get involved, Punk (who hopefully will be in Bryan’s corner) will make the save, and the two will stand tall at the end of the show, momentum for Sunday in hand.
Tonight, the WWE Tag Team Titles will be defended against the Real Americans. Lest you forget, they already hold a victory over the champs, having won it last month.
So, what can we expect? While I firmly believe a tag title reign is in store for the Real Americans at some point, it won’t start tonight. They need momentum heading into Survivor Series.
The masked high flyer himself, Senior Rey Mysterio, will be making his return to Smackdown tonight when he teams with the Usos to take on The Shield. He made his “official” return last week on RAW, becoming the last member in the traditional elimination match this Sunday.
So, what can we expect to happen? Well, I expect for Rey to get the victory tonight, but it wouldn’t surprise me if we didn’t see a lot from him in terms of offense. There are rumors, which cannot be confirmed or denied (not everything you read online is true…crazy, right?) that Mysterio was brought back from injury early to bring in PPV buys and that he isn’t quite 100%. If this is true, then expect the Usos to get in most of the offense.
Ryback looked very impressive on RAW Monday in his match against the Big Show. He didn’t come out victorious, but he was able to heft the 500 pounder on his shoulders.
So, apparently tonight he has some sort of challenge to throw down that will reportedly, “turn Friday night upside down.” What that means, I have no idea.
In one of the most awesome moments in recent wrestling memory, Big E. Langston claimed his first title since being on the main roster, capturing the Intercontinental Championship from Curtis Axel.
So, tonight Langston is set to team with his old “employer” Dolph Ziggler to take on the team of the former champion and Damien Sandow. I have little doubt that Langston and Ziggler will come out on top. Look for Langston to cement his place as the true title holder by securing the victory for his team over Axel.
What do you hope to see on Smackdown tonight? Sound off in the comments section, or on Twitter @TheDarlingDork and @christiangmill, with your thoughts.
