The Weekly Beat Down! 8/26/2013

IT’S MONDAY NIGHT RAW TONIGHT! WOOOOO!

So, what can we expect to see tonight based upon RAW’s official five point preview?

Point 1

CM Punk accepted a challenge to face Curtis Axel on RAW tonight.

So, what will happen? Well, the rumor going around is that Punk and Axel will be fighting over the IC Title at Night of Champions, so my guess is that if that’s true, Axel will win via underhanded methods to set that feud up. Paul Heyman has been hinting at signing a new Paul Heyman girl (thanks to a Tout on NXT’s page which you can check out here)…so perhaps we will see that debut tonight when a new Paul Heyman girl costs Punk the win via a low blow.

Point 2

Big Show and Mark Henry have announced that they are now a tag team and will be seeking to take the tag titles from The Shield.

Now, I don’t know if they’re the biggest tag team in wrestling history, but they certainly have to be one of the most intimidating. The Shield are in big trouble, and there’s no doubt in my mind they will cross paths tonight.

Point 3

Ricardo Rodriguez revealed that he is now the manager/ring announcer of Rob Van Dam. Van Dam attacked Del Rio, which is clearly a set up for Night of Champions.

Del Rio will want revenge tonight, so expect an underhanded attack by Del Rio to Van Dam after a Van Dam match.

Point 4

After their match at SummerSlam, Bray Wyatt and the Wyatt Family dragged Kane off and he hasn’t been seen since.

WWE.com is hinting that we will learn more about his whereabouts, so I expect to see another creepy Wyatt Family video. Perhaps it’ll show Kane imprisoned at the Wyatt compound.

Point 5

Week after week, the people in charge keep putting Daniel Bryan in crazier and crazier matches and segments to put him down?

What will they do to him tonight? Well, his latest test was a cage match against Wade Barrett on Smackdown, so expect it to top that.

What do you hope to see on RAW tonight? Sound off in the comments section, or on Twitter @TheDarlingDork, with your thoughts.
