The Weekly Beat Down! 07/01/2013

Written by Christian Miller

Here we are again, on the eve of another edition of Monday Night RAW! Money in the Bank is just a couple weeks away and the story lines heading into the PPV are heating up. So, what can we expect to happen tonight on RAW based upon the show’s official five point preview?

Point 1

Last week, CM Punk had a match against Darren Young. Afterwards, Titus O’Neil and Darren Young began double teaming Punk, beating him down. Fellow Paul Heyman guy Curtis Axel ran out for the save.

Punk was uneasy about the situation, considering he recently told Heyman he didn’t want him to accompany him to the ring anymore because he didn’t need help. Like the help or not though, tonight, Punk has to team with Axel to take on the Prime Time Players. Will they Heyman guys be able to set their differences aside and pick up a victory? Find out tonight!

Point 2

Last week, Mark Henry came out and declared that he will leave Money in the Bank as the new WWE Champion.

Considering his fake retirement speech two weeks ago, Mark Henry is clearly holding the momentum heading into the PPV. Can he keep it tonight? Or will John Cena respond with a great promo and gain some momentum himself? We will find out later.

Point 3

Last week on Smackdown, Dolph Ziggler crashed Fiesta Del Rio and decimated Ricardo Rodriguez with a guitar.

How will Alberto Del Rio respond tonight? Considering his fresh heel turn, I can very much see Del Rio attacking Ziggler to get redemption for his interruption on Smackdown.

Point 4

Two weeks ago, AJ Lee came out in a muscle suit, mocking former champion Kaitlyn. Last week, Kaitlyn came out dressed like AJ during AJ’s match against Natalya, providing enough of a distraction to cost the Divas Champion a win.

So, what will happen next? To be honest, I’m not sure. I can say this with confidence though, the AJ Lee and Kaitlyn rivalry is the most interesting the Divas division has been in a long while and I cannot wait to see what happens next.

Point 5

Last week, Daniel Bryan cost Kane his match against Randy Orton when Bryan rolled Kane into the ring before he was ready, allowing him to fall victim to an RKO.

So, how will Kane respond tonight? My guess is angry. Could this lead to a new rivalry between the two? We will find out tonight.

What do you hope to see on RAW tonight? Sound off in the comments section.
