Here we are, on the first Monday Night RAW following Monday Night RAW. Instead of basing this week’s prediction on RAW’s official five point preview, as I usually do, I have decided to come up with my own predictions based on what happened at the PPV. If you don’t know what happened at the PPV, major spoilers are set to follow.
Damien Sandow won the World Heavyweight Championship Money in the Bank match when he turned on his best friend, Cody Rhodes, and shoved him off the ladder, grabbing the briefcase at the last second.
So, what will happen tonight between the two? My guess is that Sandow will come out to gloat about his win. Rhodes will then come out and try and get Sandow to admit that shoving him off the ladder was a mistake. Sandow will then attack Rhodes, setting up a match between the two at SummerSlam next month.
Kane was officially pulled from the Money in the Bank All Stars match last night, due to the attack on him by the Wyatt Family.
I’m not sure if we’re going to see Kane on RAW tonight, but I fully expect Bray Wyatt to come out and attack someone else and then gloat about what the Wyatt Family did to Kane, thereby further setting up a match between The Wyatt Family and Kane (with an as of yet unnamed partner) at SummerSlam.
Last night, Dolph Ziggler had the World Heavyweight Title all but within his grasp after a great match with Alberto Del Rio, only to have AJ Lee snatch the opportunity away via interference.
My guess is that tonight, Ziggler will come out and break up with AJ Lee, who will then snap and order Big E. Langston to attack Ziggler. This will set up a match between Ziggler and Langston at SummerSlam.
Paul Heyman turned on CM Punk during the Money in the Bank All Stars match, costing Punk the victory when he hit him with a ladder.
Punk will want answers tonight and he won’t be afraid to get physical if necessary. I’m guessing that Curtis Axel is going to feel his wrath tonight, sacrificing himself to prevent Punk from getting to Heyman. Hell, I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw a Brock Lesnar appearance.
Randy Orton won the Money in the Bank All Stars match last night, getting a guaranteed shot at the WWE Championship whenever he wants.
Considering the fact that he promised to cash the briefcase in on the same night he won it, if he won it, it wouldn’t surprise me to see him cash it in tonight on Cena.
